Abel’s focus is expanding AMI’s footprint through a range of digital strategies that include content, SEO, social media marketing, direct response and more.
Prior to joining AMI, Abel led a thought leadership program for a LatAm media agency, delivering dramatic increases (over 100%) in web traffic and lead generation via content in English, Spanish and Portuguese. However, his work in thought leadership and content marketing goes back to the early 00s, when he created branded content for Latin American airlines, international luxury hotels, hospital systems, tourism entities and other clients.
Abel first broke into marketing by co-leading a Spanish-language book program aimed at U.S. Hispanics, editing several best sellers (100,000+ copies sold).
He has an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri and a B.A. in communications from the University of Pennsylvania. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
