According to a recent article by Oil and Gas Watch, the U.S. natural gas export boom is now spreading to Mexico, and soon there could be a high demand for Mexican LNG in Southeast Asia. Although good news, experts like Arthur Deakin, Energy Director at Americas Market Intelligence, are skeptical:
“The reality is that a lot of these projects are not going to happen,” Deakin says, “They’re complex, there’s competition in the U.S., and they’re very costly. … And the energy transition makes a lot of these projects a little more challenging to get off paper.”
