Reuters has published an article about Guyana “reaping the rewards of its offshore oil jackpot,” as 11 billion barrels of oil equivalent were recently discovered 190km off its coast.

As Guyana debates whether to create a National Oil Company, Arthur Deakin, Director of Energy at AMI, was cited as saying:

“Two candidates for additional contracts are Qatar Energy and Abu Dhabi’s National Oil Company, said Arthur Deakin, a co-director at Americas Market Intelligence consulting firm.”
