Challenge
AMI’s client, a global consultancy, was assisting a client who provides fractional jet and jet management services. This company was looking to expand internationally and wanted to assess the market readiness for both types of services of Brazil in Mexico, targeting high net worth individuals (HNWI), i.e. affluent consumers. Familiarity of the fractional jet model by private jet owners and users, user needs and preferences, and the competitive landscape would all be important areas for the client to understand in a market intelligence assignment.
Approach
This project required interviewing private jet owners and users—high net worth individuals and their business managers—who are highly insolated and difficult to reach. To complete the task, AMI deployed teams of researchers in Mexico in Brazil, who liaised with personal contacts, private aviation associations, and high level business executives to get in touch with the target interview population. AMI completed 20 interviews in both markets to collect the necessary intelligence.
Result
Through market interviews, AMI successfully analyzed and identified the market readiness of the client’s services in Brazil and Mexico, identifying specific opportunities, risks, cultural barriers to be addressed and key. AMI made a series of strategic recommendations to help guide market entry strategy and make their services as relevant as possible to local realities.
