AMI
Beyond copper, the other dominant strategic mineral in Latin America is lithium. The region’s so-called “Lithium Triangle”, consisting of Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile, holds more than half of the world’s lithium reserves—an estimated 36.3 million metric tonnes.
China has made significant investments in lithium extraction, refining, and infrastructure development—and to that end, has established or is seeking partnerships with the countries that are part of the Lithium Triangle.
With the help of a dozen talented students from the University of Miami, we at AMI have developed a special report on lithium reserves in these key markets and the equity control of lithium mining, as well as other key topics.
This report is available for download by clicking on the button below.
Given the importance of these minerals to modern technology, with this report, we sought to concisely outline the current ownership/investment environment and what is needed for outside companies to partner with the Lithium Triangle mining jurisdictions.
